Dreams of the Past

Dreams of the past, forever they will last
Back when I was in the last grade
My last grade, the 12th grade
a time I will always remember

Never really liked school
never really cared
but my last grade I loved it so
it was a time always to be remembered

it was the golden age
it was my golden year
to bad it lasted only one year
my year the golden year

it was a time of joy and laughter
never a time of sadness and tears
it was a time that I enjoyed
a time of friends and my first girlfriend too

To bad those times never last
to bad this isn't the past
but at least I have friends
a trio are we yes unfortunately it's just us three

but that's how it's suppose to be
that's how it ends
even though things will fade
the friends never will

but that's how it's suppose to be
from now until forever
but still will I always remember
my dreams of the past.
